Office 365 Enterprise - Excel Online - Embed Option

There doesn't seem to be an embed option for the Office 365 Enterprise version of Excel Online. Does anyone know why? It would be cool to be able to do embedding with an Excel Online file on another site.

Here is the error that I get when I try to do it:

Hi Tim Rodman,

As far as I know, this alert message is pop-up when we encounter the following scenario:

  • In a Microsoft SharePoint Online library, you click Library Settings and then click Versioning settings.
  • For the Document Version History setting, you select Create major and minor (draft) versions.
  • For the Draft Item Security setting, you select Only users who can edit items.
  • You click SHARE, click Get a link for a document in the library, and then click View Only Anyone with this link can see this file.
  • You share the link with a user, and the user browses to the URL for the shared document.
To work around this issue, take one of the following actions:
  • Publish the affected document.
  • Change the Draft Item Security setting to Any user who can read items for the affected library.

Thanks for the follow-up George. Sorry for my slow reply.

I don't think that I have the situation you describe. From the screenshot below, you can see that I'm not even using draft versions:

I think you might be on to something though with the SHARE button that you mention. I'm not able to use a guest link because I get the following message as pictured below: "Guest links aren't available because StandardReaderRoleDefinitonID is undefined."
