Office 2013 keeps crashing after just a few minutes of use.

I have solved my own question, and haven't seen an answer for it yet so I provided as much info as I could, in hopes that others who come across this problem can save time.

Running OS: Windows 7 Professional.

Program of Concern: Outlook 2013 (Part of Office 2013 Home and Business Bundle)

Symptoms: Outlook 2013 keeps crashing after just a few minutes (or less) of being opened. No other programs within the suite are crashing.

Event Log:

Faulting application name: outlook.exe, version: 15.0.4551.1004, time stamp: 0x5253ab76

Faulting module name: olmapi32.dll, version: 15.0.4551.1003, time stamp: 0x524a7a77

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x000138c5

Faulting process id: 0xd1c

Faulting application start time: 0x01cee539912bdebc

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\outlook.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\Root\Office15\olmapi32.dll

Things I've tried:

Restarted the computer. Ran an SFC Scan. I've tried opening it in safe mode, and tried to run it as an Admin. I've used Outlook Product Stability Diagnostic (won't go beyond 4% completion due to the crash) and I've used Microsoft Outlook Configuration Analyzer Tool 2.0. There are no additional ad-ons to outlook, beyond what is there by default

Solution:

Browse out to " C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\Root\Office15\olmapi32.dll". Once you have found olmapi32.dll right click on it and choose restore previous versions. There should be a version from a month or more ago during a time when it was working correctly. Chances are the restore button will be grayed out. Press Copy instead. Copy it to your desktop. Delete the current version of olmapi32.dll and paste the one from your desktop in its place. Restart your computer and launch Outlook.

In the event that there are no previous versions of olmapi32.dll, I encourage you to find a workstation nearby with the same version of Windows and Office, and copy that .dll to a thumb drive. Delete the other one and replace it with whats on your thumb drive.

If this answer is found to resolve your problem, please press the up arrow. Thank you.
