Office 2013 has to be reloaded after reboot
Office 2013 Problem - we have encountered

This happened March 17th. Windows 7 Pro - Dell machines - Radon Graphics Cards. Machines have been running Office 2013 since

December ,2014.  All of a sudden - when you run ANY OFFICE application you get the message that there is a problem and repair etc.

The only thing that worked was to remove Office 2013 - I also tried running the Fixit to totally remove the Office files. I was able to reload office

and register it by phone.

All works fine  UNTIL you restart the machine ( we have 7 machines) then you receive the dreaded message again. We have Kaspersky installed

on the machines. I have gone through all the HELP and MICROSOFT sites. One machine I totally rebuilt  (DELL restore) and it still has the problem.

I have advised all users to NOT SHUT OFF until we try to figure it out. Sometimes the REPAIR works - sometimes you have to uninstall and reinstall?

Any advise would be HELPFUL.

Call me someone please!!! Desperate

Hi HELPWARE-Susan Scannell,

Based on your description, you said you got an error message but you didnt provide the whole error message. If this issue only appeared in Office program? Did other programs get the same error? You had repaired and reinstalled Office in computer, and even restored computer. But the issue still exists.

I suggest you provide the whole error message, and please try to collect the event log when the issue appeared.

For example, when you open an Excel/Word file, you get an error message. Then you can try to collect event log of Excel/Word, there are steps of collecting event log:

Open Event Viewer to check whether there's any error about the Excel/Word crash issue.

Press Win + R, type "eventvwr" in the blank box, press Enter. In the Event Viewer, browse to Windows Logs -> Application, there may be some errors after the crash.

Please try to collect this event log and post the whole event log message here. I can get more information about your issue from this message and help you solve it.

I am the IT support person for the office and have over 30 years of experience and I have NEVER encountered this issue. I have been focused on PROBLEM SOLVING. We even REBUILD on of the machines - reformatted the drive etc.

The error message is the dreaded message - when you start any office program - We are sorry but something went wrong - please run repair etc.

I have done a complete removal of office - I said before there are 7 machine - ran the office removal tool - complete reinstall  - ran all the FIX tools etc.  All is well until you restart the machine(s).

This happens off and on - randomly on different machines in the office each week.

I will be on-site tomorrow and will try to download the tool you suggested and post what I can. Is there a way to talk to a real person about this. Please advise. My client is ready to DUMP Microsoft. Should we DUMP Office 2013? Please HELP.

Still not resolved. Can you HELP? Please advise.

No the tool is not helpful.  And yes we have to reinstall Office every time we
re-boot.  We have to re-boot because the email crashes.  I have no idea why the
email crashes but it does. Been quiet this week, but Monday had to reload
Rick's office after he had email issues.  Vicious cycle.  I have delete the HTKY
that were mentioned and that does nothing either.

I just found out that Rick lost his email last night, and Randy had to fix his
computer.  Randy performed a "repair" instead of the uninstall, but I have found
after I have done the "repair" that I still have the same issues later.
