Office 2013 64-bit - Installation fails
I am trying to perform a completely silent installation of Office 2013 64-bit on a Windows 7 SP1 64-bit OS.The complete installation media is copied to 'C:\Temp' folder and I am initiating the installation by launching the setup.exe from an elevated command prompt (Run As Administrator).To achieve silent installation, I am using the config.xml (contents as follows):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Configuration Product="ProPlus">
<Display Level="none" CompletionNotice="no" SuppressModal="yes" AcceptEula="yes" />
<Logging Type="Verbose" Path="%windir%\CMSLOGS" Template="MS_Office_ProPlus_2013-x64_Install(*).log" />
<!-- <USERNAME Value="Customer" /> -->
<!-- <COMPANYNAME Value="MyCompany" /> -->
<!-- <INSTALLLOCATION Value="%programfiles%\Microsoft Office" /> -->
<LIS CACHEACTION="CacheOnly" />
<!-- <LIS SOURCELIST="\\server1\share\Office;\\server2\share\Office" /> -->
<!-- <DistributionPoint Location="\\server\share\Office" /> -->
<!-- <OptionState Id="OptionID" State="absent" Children="force" /> -->
<Setting Id="AUTO_ACTIVATE" Value="1" />
<Setting Id="SETUP_REBOOT" Value="Never" />
<Setting Id="REBOOT" Value="ReallySuppress" />
<!-- <Command Path="%windir%\system32\msiexec.exe" Args="/i \\server\share\my.msi" QuietArg="/q" ChainPosition="after" Execute="install" /> -->
</Configuration>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This config.xml is available at the same location as the setup.exe.I have also created a SilentInstall.MSP using the OCT (invoked by running setup.exe /admin) which contains the license information and other office configuration settings. This is copied to the 'updates' folder.Now, when I launch the setup.exe with elevated rights, installation starts (silently ofcourse) but it exits after a minute or two.I found the following in the verbose logs:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
