Office 2013 - Cannot Open or Save Network Files

I have an employee using a Surface Pro who is reporting that she is unable to open any files on our network drive with Office 2013 (SP1). This applies to all Office applications tested (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). When I attempt to open a file that is not locally stored, the splash screen comes up and then disappears and immediately reappears, then the home screen opens (with no document). Using "Open" within an Office program does the same thing. I can open up other files (PDFs) and all permissions on the network file share look fine.  No errors appear in any of the Office applications. No viruses have been detected when we scan for them.

She is able to successfully open a file stored locally, but was not able to save to a network file share. My network connection is solid. All other applications function and I have checked permissions.  I have also had the user test out another computer and she is able to access network files via Office just fine.

Thoughts or help would be most appreciated.

Hi,

Please first make sure you have enough permission on the %Temp% folder. If the permission is ok, please try emptying the %Temp% folder and then test the issue again.

How do you access the network file share? Do you have it mapped as a drive on your computer? If so, please try navigating to the network share directly via typing the address in the explorer. Then, try opening a document to see if you can open it.

If above doesn't help, please try adding the network location to the trusted locations list in your Office programs and then check if this issue persists.

File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations...

Please also try disable Protected View options under File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View to see the result.

Please let me know the result.

Everything looked fine with the temp folder and I had tried navigating straight to the network location.  What I ended up doing was removing the user profile and recreating it and that solved the issue.
