Office 2013 & windows 10

I have a full copy of Office 2013 Pro through the company I work for.

After a clean install of Windows 10 and re-installing Office, I cannot activate the install. It was fine in Windows 7.

I have tried several times using the Key Code, but the status just shows that it needs activating and will shut down on the 1st of the month.

Any ideas why?

It is a healthy install, no errors, drivers all loading.

I have the login set to local so I can see the rest of my network, which I couldn't see if I was logged into the computers acct.

When it was upgraded OVER the win 7 install, Office worked. Then after a bad update by 10, I did a clean install of 10 and it no longer activates.

I've got a similar problem activating Office 2013 on Windows 10. I used ISO's from MSDN for both Windows 10 Enterprise (x64) & Office 2013 SP1 (x64).

My Windows 10 upgraded fine and after that I ran a clean install which also works perfectly fine. Thereafter I installed Office 2013 SP1.

I signed in to Word 2013 using my MSDN account (Microsoft Account). When I try to change the product key (which I can find on MSDN), the administrator panel will pop-up but nothing happens. It still stays on "Activation Required".

Check the current license status of Office;

- Open an Elevated (RunAsAdmin) CMD console
- cd \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\
- cscript ospp.vbs /dstatusall > c:\windows\temp\ospp-out.txt

The text file will have a bunch of stuff (almost all possible license types), the idea is to see which, if any, are properly registered.
Mine looks like this (I removed the Visio stuff), so you have something to compare;

Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.8
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

Hi,

I uploaded my file here: ospp-out.txt

Mostly contains errors like this:

ERROR CODE: 0xC004F014
ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is not available.

Kind regards,

Hmm, if I click on "Show Additional Licensing Information" the Product is Activated.... Weird :)

I think i'll have to wait 29 days to see the end result.

Try the phone activation. It works wonders :)

On a side note: It can be a little tricky to get to, try shutting off your internet access for a second to get to it if you're having trouble.

Good luck!
