Office 2007
When trying to save a document in Word 2007, I now am getting a total freeze up. Nothing happens. It was happening some when I was on Win 8. Since I installed Win 10, it is a constant problem. It will not save the document other than in a auto save partial file. Tried a lot of the regedit solutions to no avail.

Hi,

Regarding of the issue, please provide us more information to assist you better.

  • Was there any error message when you can't save the files in Word 2007?
  • Have you checked the event log if there was some error logged?
  • Do you mind telling us which methods/steps you have tired?

Generally speaking, this issue might be caused by some factors:

1) Third-party add-ins, especially a Send to Bluetooth add-in. Please try to disable all the add-ins to test.

2) Word 2007 programs broken, we can repair Office 2007 to check if it is helpful.

3) Permission issue.  Start Word as an administrator

  • click Start
  • type Winword (DO NOT PRESS ENTER)
  • right-click on WINWORD in the list and select "Run as Administrator"

Please checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
