OWA with Exchange 2007 in two sites
Has anyone implemented 2007 with more than 1 site and is using OWA ?
Everything is working fine with message routing etc but when a user connects to the external address of the main server (site 1) and their mailbox is in site 2 we get the "There is no Microsoft Exchange Client Access server that has the necessary configuration in the Active Directory site where the mailbox is stored." message.
Is there anyone who has solved this ?
Thanks
Alan

I am also working on this. However, I have put a CAS server in both my sites. If a user connects to site A and their mailbox server is site B, it tells them to connect to Site B CAS server URL.
But, I would like to use the same URL for everybody and dont care if they connect to site A to access Site B mailbox. Any way to turn this feature off?
I am sure there is an option, since I was able to turn this off for POP & IMAP. Now just need OWA.

Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -identity 'SERVER\owa (default web site)' -RedirectToOptionalOWAServer $false

Hi,
I seem to find only '-RedirectToOptimalOWAServer' (note Optional vs Optimal). Is that right? Cause your syntax above provides a 'not found' error.
However, when I use Optimal I get this error:
----------------
[PS] C:\> Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -identity "mpkwca101.arivia.kom\owa" -RedirectToOptimalOWAServer $false
Set-OwaVirtualDirectory : The operation could not be performed because object '<myserver>\owa' could not be found on domain controller '<myDC-in-same-site>'.At line:1 char:24+ Set-OwaVirtualDirectory <<<< -identity "<myserver>\owa" -RedirectToOptimalOWAServer $false
[PS] C:\>------------------------------------
Any ideas?
