OWA is giving HTTP Error 403.4
The OWA worked until I enabled a new exchange certificate our old one had expired today. We were getting a pop up box on our Outlook 2007 that said that the certificate had expired. So I cloned the old one and enabled it. The message went away, but now our OWA does not work. It is giving us the following error messageThe page must be viewed over a secure channelThe page you are trying to access is secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)Please try the following:Type https:// at the beginning of the address you are attempting to reach and press ENTER.HTTP Error 403.4 - Forbidden: SSL is required to view this resource. Internet Infromation Services. (IIS)I am using Exchange Server 2007. Any help in getting this running would be very helpful. Thanks,Tammy

I have more information on the https when I click on to proceed anyways to the website it gives me my login box and allows me to logon to the owa site. So, I guess my question now is how do I get it to go back to http since that is what everyone knows and second how do I get it to recognize the new certificate. Thanks again for your help.Tammy

Well, I'm back to my initial problem. Now when I go to https: I get the error message Internet Explorer can not display the Webpage either you are not connected to the internet or you have a problem with the webpage. Can I just turn off the SSL? Will that make the initial message go away and allow the users to use the owa?

You could, but I wouldnt. What do you have set under the SSL properties of the virtual directory? It should be Require SSL / 128 bit encryp and "Ignore Client Certificates".Also, run ExBpa against the server.

I ended up turning off the SSL, and it works like it use to. The only exception is that I have users that have linked their phones to our server and now their phones won't link. Do you have any suggestions so that their phones will link?

I wouldnt disable SSL.What is is the full error message besides ""There is a problem with this website's security certificate" ?Is this self-signed internal CA certificate or 3rd party?Did you check the settings I mentioned earlier?Have you run ExBpa against the server? When you issue a get-exchangecertificate command, does the cert show as valid? Browse to the website, open the cert and check it out. Is it the new one? Certificate path ok to the root? Also, test at https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/
