OWA drafts not saving

Having a bit of any issue with draft emails not being saved.  Current Ex build is 15.0 1076.9

Can't remember the exact build beforehand, but before I installed the latest roll-up for Ex2013, the OWA site would allow a draft to be created, typed in, and if you clicked over to another message (i.e. new urgent message) the draft would auto save in the draft folder.  Even if another message wasn't selected, within a few seconds the draft had saved.

As far as I knew, that was a normal autosave feature/function.

After this roll-up I noticed none of the draft messages I started would auto save unless I manually selected the save option from the drop down menu.

Can anybody lends some insight on what might be going on?

Thanks

Hi,

Please do the following test in your OWA 2013:

1. Click New Email in OWA.

2. Confirm whether a draft of blank message is saved in Draft folder.

3. Compose the message and keep OWA active for five or ten minutes.

4. Check whether the test message is automatically saved or updated to your Draft folder.

Additionally, please check whether the message can be saved automatically in Outlook Online mode.

I tinkered around with this issues this morning.  Keep in mind that the current settings were for in-line responses.

tried responding to a message, no obvious sign if the draft saving.  Waited 5, 10 15 and finally 30 minutes. Nothing.  I did notice that as soon as I clicked the icon to pop the window out, it did generate a draft save.

Also noticed that even with new/responses being written in a new window, if I tried to get into the settings area the main OWA page would warn me about leaving a page, pretty much the same as when a draft is pending saving.v

I did try and change the settings to opening a new window for new/responding on all messages.  That seemed to have done the trick.

After selecting that option, every message I try and respond to generates the auto-save right away, and after I changed the option back to inline-mode it still saves just like it used to.

I'm guessing some part of the autosave function was effected in the patch roll-out but changing to then back to in-line now gets it on-track.
