Hi,

I would answer your question one by one:

1. how can they will access OWA after moving to Exchange 2013 with co-existence environment.

A: When user access the mailbox which is located in exchange 2010 from OWA 2013 URL, CAS2013 will proxy the request to CAS2010.

2. which OWA site will be primary at this stage (Exchange 2010 or 2013)?

A: Exchange 2013. Because exchange 2010 cant process the request about exchange 2013.

3. how should i set proxy for OWA redirection when user trying to access other version site.

A: If you want to set proxy between OWA 2010 and OWA 2013, please run the following commands:

For Exchange 2013:

Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "Exchange2013_CAS_Server_Name\OWA (Default Web Site)" -InternalURLhttps://mail.domain.com/OWA -ExternalURL https://mail.domain.com/OWA

For Exchange 2010:

Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "Exchange2010_CAS_Server_Name\OWA (Default Web Site)" -InternalURLhttps://fullyqualifiedcomputername/OWA -ExternalURL $Null

Then when the external Exchange 2010 users access the OWA from https://mail.domain.com/OWA, Exchange 2013 will authenticate the user and proxy the request to Exchange 2010 automatically.

4. What all DNS changes internally and external i need to perform to move all the services to Exchange 2013 server.

A: Change all internal and external URLs to use mail.domain.com for all services in Exchange 2013. Keep the internal URLs to use the Exchange 2010 FQDN and change the external URLs to $NULL.

For DNS configuration, we need to publish the following DNS records:

Internal DNS

mail.domain.com

Point to Exchange 2013 server

autodiscover.contoso.com

Point to Exchange 2013 server

External DNS

mail.domain.com

Point to TMG Listener (Exchange 2013)

autodiscover.contoso.com

Point to TMG Listener (Exchange 2013)
