But if i try to configure the same server in any mail services(Outlook and Thunderbird) i get "A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator." Still im not able to fix the Password issue. Im facing same 2147024891 error.ThanksWintechxavier

Hi,Sorry for the delay response. For the Outlook and Thunderbird issue, did you check it by using OE? Please connect Exchange server by using POP3 method, then verify the outcome.ThanksAllen

Hi,Whether the internal and exterenal email could not be received and sent or just the external? Did you deploy the FE? What the topology of the whole environment?ThanksAllen

Hi Allen, When i try to send mails using OWA(External/Internal) its working fine. But while try the same in Outlook Or Thunderbird i get the error. There is no FE/BE Server. Only one exchange server In windows 2003 server i have installed Exchange server 2003 and by enabling SMTP in server and POP3 in Exchange server im sending and receiving the mails.... Im not sure which topology this server is in.Let me be more clear 1. If i logged into my Exchange server and tried to send mails using OWA. Mails send and Received without any issue to Internal/External. 2. If i try to configure the same Exchange server in Outlook and Thunderbird, Im not able to send and Receive mails and i get the following error."A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator." 3. I have enabled Password change option in OWA but when i try to change an password i get 2147024891 error.Kindly help me to fix up the issue.ThanksWintechxavier

Hi,Now we first troubleshoot the password issue. Before going on, please firstcheck whether the known kb can fix the issue:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=833734If not, please try below steps:Create a new IISADMPWD virtual directory:1, Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Services Manager. 2, Right-click the default Web site, point to New, and then click Virtual Directory.3, In the Virtual Directory Creation wizard, type IISADMPWD in the Alias box, and then click Next. In the Directory box, type <hard disk>:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\iisadmpwd or the location where your hard disk is your default hard disk, and then click Next.4, Verify that only the Read and Run script check boxes are selected, such as the ASP check box, click Next, and then click Finish.5, Verify that the IISADMPWD virtual directory has only basic authentication set and, if you use Windows 2003/IIS 6.0, verify that the application pool is set to ExchangeApplicationPool. When you create the iisadmpwd directory anonymous access is enabled. This is needed, But the account that is uses for anonymous access is a local account, with only exist on you're mail server. This account does not have the appropriate Active Directory access. Create a new account, with a very secure password, make sure its password does not expire, and that it can change its password. This account does not need to have any special permission, the group domain users is enough. Then changethe anonymous access account for the virtual directory iisadmpwd to the newly created account. After that, please check this issue.ThanksAllen
