OWA Access in mixed environments Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010
Hi all,I have the following question about webmailaccess in a mixed Exchange environment. What is the best way to setup this flow?If I try to access the webmail of a Exchange 2003 user on a Exchange 2003 server ( not particular the same as where the databaseis located ) everything works fine. The same is when accessing the CAS server with a Exchange 2010 user. But when I cross theaccess I won't work. And from the outside there is only one webmail.company.dom available. How can I fix this so users from both environments can access their own server and mailbox?

Hi, you can't have same url for both server, you can change the url for exchange 2003 & give that to exchange 2010(the old url), if a 2003 user hit that url exchange 2010 will redirect it automatically to 2003 owa. If i get the question wrongly please confirm & clarify the requirement.Ripu Daman Mina

Hi,Exchange 2010 CAS cannot proxy request to exchange 2003, so we need to use redirection in Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2003 mix environment. If we have exchange 2003 front-end server, then we need to set exchange Exchange2003URL property on CAS property on CAS. Thus CAS 2010 can redirect the request to that url.If we do not have exchange 2003 front-end server, then we have to publish Exchange 2003 to the internet.
