Could be a view set in Outlook. Are you using a PST and not server-based storage? Is it possible the mailbox was accessed by another session somewhere else and the messages downloaded to a different PST on another workstation?Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP

If it's in a PST it wouldn't show up in OWA. OWA is a live view of your mailbox. Their Outlook client could be offline or an incorrect view is being used. When we log in to OWA the emails show as unread and the user is using server based storage. There is a local pst file to work off line could this cause the problem?

Outlook views are the likely cause. See what views the user is using in Outlook.Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP

Hi, What is the type of your account? Exchange account or pop3 account? Please ensure that you can send email/Receive via Oultook. Please search the email from outlook 2003. Please try to use outlook /cleanviews to open outlook. Regards, Xiu
