OWA / Exchange 2007 / NAT problem
I want to setup OWA so it can be accessed externally from the internet. Normally i would port forward 443 to the server and access it using https://ipaddress/owa. The problem i have is that i need to use ports 22,80,443,10000 for a special apps server. Trying to be clever, i setup a port forwarding rule from port 6969 to port 443 on the exchange server. If i go to the https://ipaddress:6969 i get the standard iis under construction page which is what i expected as we have no sites setup. However when i go to https://ipaddress:6969/owa i get a '404 error found' page and the url changes to https://ipaddress/owa/auth/logon.aspx?url=https://ipaddress/owa&reason=0 Maybe im going about this the wrong way, but any advice would be gratfully recived. Thanks in advance.

OWA touches so many different areas of the the IIS virtual directories installed with exchange. I have never heard of anyone trying to do this before. I don't think it will work.Somewhere you are getting redirected to the core path of the 443 port that IIS is servicing. Why not just do a one to one NAT to your exchange server instead of trying to do service level NAT? Do you have a free external IP? or can you get one? You could try changing the SSL port on the server to say... 444 and serve the OWA website out via that port alltogether... You are going to have change all the port settings on the virtual directories in IIS.

Dont think this is possible. You can however use ISA and "portforward" depending on not the IP and port but on which URL client tries to connect to.

Yeah, Im looking for same solution. How to change owa 2007 port? However, there is no solution I could find it. So, I come up with an idea and that works too. All action happen in your CAS server, Open IIS and create another website name Exch2007. (Tcp:8080 SSL:8443, you can define your own port) Remove current OWA virtual directory from Default Web Site. Open EMS and type : Get-OwaVirtualDirectory Then type : Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "owa (Default Web Site)" Press A to confirm. New-OwaVirtualDirectory -WebSite "Exch2007" Verify you have new OWA virtual directory under new Exch2007 web site. Get-OwaVirtualDirectory Redo the SSL staff for your new Exch2007 web site. Open EMC for further configuration. Test connectivity you may access your owa thought new ssl port https://xxxx:8443/owa Though above way is not official from Microsoft, but I did the test and it works fine in my side.

Hi There,I tried this: All action happen in your CAS server, Open IIS and create another website name Exch2007. Test connectivity you may access your owa thought new ssl port https://xxxx:8443/owa Though above way is not official from Microsoft, but I did the test and it works fine in my side.------------------------------------------------------but no luck, there are a lot of missing information such as "Open EMC for further configuration." and "Redo the SSL staff for your new Exch2007 web site"is it possible to elaborate.ThxMatt.
