OWA - Multiple Server Deployment
Hi,I have deployed 2 Exchange 2007 Standard Edt Servers. I want users to be able to use OWA from outside the company through one domain name: owa.domainname.comINAT'd my public IP for 'owa.domainname.com' to my Exchange Box 1 and users who's mailbox is on . However what can i do for users that are on Exchange Box 2?? I don't want to have multiple domain names.Any help appreciated.

Hey,Do you have all Exchange Server Roles installed on both servers? Are those in same AD site?If so, you don't have to publish another server to internet with "ExternalURL" switch on OWA virtual directory. CAS-CAS proxying forwards the request to another Exchange box 2 which has CAS installed and then access the mailbox.Overview of Exchange Server 2007 CAS Proxying and Redirectionhttp://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/09/04/446918.aspxUnderstanding Namespace Planning For Exchange Server 2007http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb885052.aspxAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

To configure proxying you need to remove the value of ExternalUrlon your second Exchange box.Server Configuration > Client Access > Outlook Web Access > General Tabhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998233.aspxAlso make sure that Exchange box 2 has Integrated Authentication set to proxying work properly.Follow below article for basic understanding....Integrated Authentication and Exchange 2007http://www.shudnow.net/2007/09/27/integrated-authentication-and-exchange-2007-problem/Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
