OWA
I have a BE/FE Exchange 2003 organization wich is working perfectly, I recently added two new servers and I have a problem when I try to access the mailboxes on them via OWA. I checked the IIS configuration on both servers and set them up the same way that the one I have working correctly. When I try to access the OWA from the Internet I'm not able to do so (https://webmail.mydomain.com), but when I doit from my LAN using the server name instead of the DNS alias that we created it works (http://servername). I have RPC/https configured and with my Outlook I'm able to access mailboxes on the new servers form the Internet or Intranet, so I guess this rules out any comunication problems between my FE and BE servers. What else could be happening, they all have the same version of Exchange, SP, etc..? I'll appreciate your help. Regards, Pablo.

Can DNS server resolve names of two new servers, then you try to connect from internet? Whenyou try to access the OWA from LAN by using HTTPS://servername/exchange its working?

Igor: it works, so we can asume the problem is not a DNS issue. I'm guessing this could be a communications problem between the FE and th new servers. What do you think? Regards, Pablo.

Check your firewall (if you use) to open80port between front and back end servers, you can use telnet command, for exsample "telnet server-name 80" also inspect event viewer application logs on front and back end servers and if you find something post it hear please. Regards, Igor

I haved checked both event viewr and nothing, I haved telnet from my front end to the back end on port 80 and it responded. I haved changed several times the configuration on the website, with no result. At this moment I have configure both servers the same way that the one that is working but it's not working. Anything else I could check? Regards, Pablo.

It`s so strange. Also look to articles: if you have installed SharePoint Services http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823265/en-us if you have third-party firewall server http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839913 In your situation I would use a network monitor such http://www.ethereal.com/download.html
