OUTLOOK DELEGATE ACCESS TO ANOTHER MAILBOX - can't view subfolders of Inbox
Although we've configured "Outlook delegate access" and "Exchange full mailbox access", perhaps we haven't done it correctly, or we've missed a step? After configuring Outlook delegate access to allow user Darlene to access the Outlook mailbox of user Polly, the delegate access does work successfully BUT there is one glitch.Polly has a lot of subfolders under her Inbox. It appears that Darlene can't see and access any of the subfolders unless Polly right-clicks on each subfolder and grants permissions to Darlene. Aaaccckkk there are a gazillion subfolders.Did we miss a step that would automatically give Darlene delegate access to ALL the subfolders under Polly's Inbox without granting permission individually on each subfolder? Or is there a way to grant the permissions and iterate them for all subfolders at once instead of individually.

The permissions do not inherit towards because they are MAPI permissions. PFDAVadmi should be able to help you set some permissions but scripting wise I'm not too sure.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hi,The permission is unable to be inherited from the Inbox for the MAPI permission. You need to give the permisison respectively for the folders. As Markmorow said, to propagate the permission on each subfolder, you can use PFDAVAdmin tool. The PFDAVAdmin tool can be downloaded from the following site:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=635be792-d8ad-49e3-ada4-e2422c0ab424&DisplayLang=enOpen PFDAVAdmin, click File, click Connect, select All Mailboxes or Specified mailbox, expand the user, locate the folder, right click and select Propagate folder ACEs.ThanksAllen
