Dear Sneff

We using Exchange server 2007 on both the parent domain and the child domain. On the parent domain outlook anywhere is working fine. But on the child domain mail server thats where we are having problems, Its just poping up for password.

even if the correct password is set the pop up is still coming.

regards

it probably has something to do with your config.  Can you run

Get-ClientAccessServer | Get-OutlookAnywhere | fl server, *hostname, *auth*, *ssl*

Get-OutlookProvider

Get-ClientAccessServer | fl Auto

Also I would recommend checking out the Outlook Profile (when it tells you Exchange is unavailable, just click cancel and it should let you do what you need to do)

Hi,

According to your description, I understand that Outlook anywhere client always pop up authentication in child domain, however it works fine in parent domain.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.

I want to double confirm whether you have run Setup /PrepareAllDomains when install Exchange in child domain.

Also I noticed that the issue only happens when the child domain users connect to Exchange server by using Outlook Anywhere.
Please run Test E-mail AutoConfiguration tool in the problematic client side to check the detailed connection for Autodiscover service

Thanks

Hi Allen,

I am not sure if the Setup /PrepareAllDomains was run since i have just inherited the infrastructure.

I will run the test you mentioned and send you the results.
