OOF not working when email is forwarded. EXCH 2003
I am having a problem getting OOF to work when the account is set to forward emails. I have an account that I have setup to forward emails to an External Account. The forwarding works fine. The user set up an out of office reply (exch 2003 OWA) on her old account so that users would know of her new email address at the corporate office and to contact her replacement. That message doesn't go out if I have the mail forwarded. If I turn off forwarding the OOF message works as expected. How do I get the mail to forward AND provide an OOF message. If there is some other method of accomplishing this I am open to all suggesti0ons.

Are you forwarding the message and not leaving a copy behind in the original mailbox or are you forwarding and leaving a copy of the message in the mailbox?JAUCG

Yes. If you don't leave a copy to original mailbox, I think the OOF message won't send.Jack Zhou
