OOF error in outlook 2007
Hi all when using outlook 2007 and the users mailbox is on an Exchange 2007 server the out of office assistant doesn't work. When we start the out of office assistant the following message is displayed: 'Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later.' Using Outlook 2003 and connect to the same mailbox, OOF works fine, and also OOF in OWA works fine. When we tested outlook 2007 through Test email autoconfiguration we are getting follwing message " Autoconfiguration is unable to determine your settings" Please any help us to resolve this issue Regards Asha

Hi, Whether all the users have this issue or just certain user? Please understand that Outlook 2007 clients connect Autodiscover to get the OOF URL. Through OOF URL, the OOF can be working. Please run test-outlookwebservices |fl command in EMS, then post here. Additionally, below article can help you troubleshoot this issue: http://www.proexchange.be/blogs/exchange2007/archive/2009/07/14/your-out-of-office-settings-cannot-be-displayed-because-the-server-is-currently-unavailable-try-again-later.aspx Thanks Allen

Here check this page out. It gives the 4 ways to configure the autodiscover service. http://www.exchange-genie.com/2007/07/exchange-2007-autodiscover-service-part-1/ To test your efforts you can go into outlook and then right click on the outlook in the taskbar with the control key held down. About midway the weblink it shows the test email autoconfiguration. http://support.elephantoutlook.com/kb/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=71605 If autodoscover is configured correctly OOF, Free/Busy and Autoconfigure should work. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
