When creating a profile I mistakenly typed exchange.  Now I am in Outlook OOBE hell.  I looked up how to fix this issue and they all talk about going to the control panel and going to mail.  Mail is not in the control panel.  Looking at the number of people that have had this problem the outlook team should provide clear remediation steps that actually work?

You mentioned Mail was not in Control Panel, but I still would like to confirm if you had tried to search the word "mail" from Control Panel:

I usually input "mail" from the search box in Control Panel and then "Mail" pops up. We can remove the old profile from there and add a new one.

If you can't search "mail" in Control Panel, please let me know your Office and Windows version. Basically once we install Outlook the "mail" should exist. You can try repairing Office from Control Panel to check the result.
