OMA Implementation Question. Multiserver 2k3.
Hello, I'm running a multi server 2k3/ Exchange2k3 SP2 environment. Looking at ditching Blackberry in favor of OMA. I'm unsure whether or not I'll need to implement an additional Exchange server. Topology is as follows. Server1 RoutingGroupMaster. 100 Boxes. Net facing. Server 2 200 boxes behind firewallServer 3 200 boxes behind firewalls I'm unable to poke too many holes in our firewalls because of the nature of our business. I would be able to direct the relevant ports to Server1 to allow OMA. My question is, would that work? There would only be roughly 20 OMA users, so it is possible for all their boxes to reside on Server1. Cheers!

Hi Drew, Yes you can do so and you dont require other ports to be opened in firewall, only 80 and 443(optional) required by OMA. Below references would help you to understand how OMA works and how to configure it in Exchange 2003. please read materials that amit provide; for firewall port, we recommand only to open 443 for OMA; in addition: per your topology of exchange 2003, i think personally you should add serval frontend in order to reduce risk and improve securirty if possbile; here is FE materials: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996980(EXCHG.65).aspx hope it helps -jack
