Hi,

We've seen some other reports that KB 2956128 will cause Outlook 2010 not working properly. You might want to verify this by uninstalling this update, then check again and see if you can launch Outlook this time.

We've submitted this issue to the relevant team, and will let you know if we have any updates on this.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi

This too has happened to me , so I have removed the update KB 2956128 ( 2 of them for some reason ) and it now opens , but in safe mode. When I shut down my PC and restart it seems to load the update again ? I am running Vista 32 bit with Office 2010.

Can I stop this from happening?

Hi Turbo,

"When I shut down my PC and restart it seems to load the update again ?" - Do you mean Windows Update will install this KB automatically?

If this is the case, it is possible to block the update from being downloaded and installed automatically. Just locate the update that you want to block in Windows Update list and right-click it. Select "Hide update" to do so.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this. Currently we're still working on this, and will let you know if we have any updates on this.
