OAB schedule and update it more frequently
OAB be generated more frequently now in Exchange 2013?  Any idea what implication might result if we had it generate a couple times a day for a couple weeks?  The current size is about 16mb. Not sure what the daily percentage change is on the gal.  Also, any idea what the default schedule is when the OAB generates and what time it distribut

OAB is generated once a day around mid night by default. If you want more frequent update, it's ok. But keep in mind that Outlook only download the changes once a day.

Hi,

We can run the following command to check the OAB Generation Schedule in your Exchange 2013:
Get-MailboxServer MBX1 | fl "oab"

The OABGeneratorWorkCycle parameter specifies the time span in which the OAB generation on the Mailbox server will be processed. The default value is 8 hours.
The OABGeneratorWorkCycleCheckpoint parameter specifies the time span at which to run OAB generation on the Mailbox server. The default value is 1 hour.

We can use Set-MailboxServer cmdlet to customize OAB Generation Schedule:
Set-MailboxServer MBX1 -OABGeneratorWorkCycle 01.00:00:00 -OABGeneratorWorkCycleCheckpoint 04:00:00
