I'v had a problem a twice now with our Exchange 2003 Offline Address Book not generating when I add new users. The outlook clients will then only download the old OAB. I found a support article that had me manually edit the mapisvc.inf file. Thankfully it fixed the problem both times. I was just curious, is this something that I should have had to do again? Does that value in the inf get update by some other process? Is there by chance a more permanent solution? Below is the Event ID's and the Link to the article. Thank you! The error code is cannot find. If you keep having to modify the file then something is wrong. Have you run the Exchange best practises tool against the server to see if it flags any issues? Hi there, It is a knwn issue in Exchange2003 SP1, and it has been fixed in KB905802, which is included in the follow-up hotfix, say SP2. Please let me know the Exchange server version if the issue reoccurs. Thanks. Fiona Liao TechNet Community Support

In the network config for that server all DNS servers are local network DNS servers. I will run best practice tonight. Exchange is: Version 6.5 (Build 7638.2 Service Pack 2)

It is recommended to verify the configuration of DNS, IP address settings,the permission of address lists.
