OAB, Global Address List
Hi. I have an Exchange Server 2007 SP2 and Outlook 2003 cache mode. Outlook doesn't download the OAB for a few days. So, when you are sending an e-mail, you can't find any new user in the Global Address List. However if you use Outlook in online mode, or OWA, then you find the new users. I see that the Exchange server is generating the OAB every night successfully, but I don't know why the Outlook doesn't download it. In Outlook, if you clic on the Send/Receive button, it seems everything is right because Outlook doesn't show any warning or error. Do you know about this problem? Thank you very much, Mig.En.

No, when downloading the OAB, Outlook seems the process of download it, but it doesn't really download it. When you click the Send/Receive button, Outlook shows a window with the progress bar but it closes it very fast. By now, the only way to download the OAB needs to remove the .oab files, but that is not a solution. Thank you, Mig.en

Hi,Was this issue occurred for all the users or just certain user? For the Outlook 2003 client in Exchange 2007, it's downloading OAB from the Public Folder. Thus, you need to make Public Folder distribution enabled and the Outlook 2003 is selected for the client support under Default Offline Address Book.Additionally, did you check the error message in the Event Log?Now please run get-offlineaddressbook |fl in EMS, then post the information on the forum.ThanksAllen
