O365 ProPlus GPO when Office 2016 is deployed?

Hello!

We successfully run Office 2013 streamed from Office 365 today. Great.

Now, when Office 2016 starts to automatically deploy and replaces our current Office 2013, what will happen to the current Office settings that we configure with GPO? Will 2016 continue to use the 2013 settings or do we need to insert admx for 2016 immediately, mirroring the settings we had in 2013 GPO?

Best regards

Probably we will need to add the ADMX for 2016 and mirror the settings which are relevant.

That's what we've done for every other Office release..

Unless Office2016 introduces some new approach for settings management?

Probably a good question for the Office2016 feedback

Yes, but this is not a question about current beta. Office 2016 will soon start to replace 2013 via streaming and we dont want to all of a sudden be sitting without GPO settings in Office. This needs to be known Before the upgrade is streamed out I hope?

H,

I understand your concern, actually I agree with Don that we probably will need the Administrative Template files for Office 2016 for management, but I haven't found it either, so for now a good choice is to ask in the feedback forum suggested above, there are many users discussing this question too.
