Not receiving external emails - The server returned status code 451

Over the weekend everything was working fine. No updates were installed no changes (that I know) of were made. Now no-one is receiving any email from outside. We have TLS enable and we are able to receive email from them. I went to https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com and got the following...

The server returned status code 451 - Error in processing. The server response was: Requested action aborted: local error in processing

First thing to do is check the amount of disk space on the C drive (or wherever you have Exchange installed).
Then look in the Application event log for anything related to MS Exchange transport. Back Pressure might be listed.

Try restarting the MS Exchange Transport service.

While nothing may have changed that you know of, check that any AV software on the server has the correct exclusions in it. I have lost count the number of times I have seen them reset.

Simon.

Yeah, I've been reading the fourms for awhile now and checked those so far...

I have 106GB of free space on C: and I tried restarting the service then I just rebooted at lunch. We don't have AV on the server.

Would the Back pressure be a warning in the applications event logs?

Ok, I got it fixed. It was our email manager (spam) they changed one of thier servers and didn't let me know. I updated our ISP MX records and emails started coming in after an hour or two.
