Not all appointments are synced to iPhone 4
Hi We have around 40 iPhone 4's in the company. All of them are connected with an Exchange account and uses it to sync mails, appointments and contacts. We occassionally experience that some appointments are missing on the iPhone. If we check the users Outlook calendar everything is looking fine. I can't figure out what is going wrong. Some times it helps to disable Exchange sync and enabling it again, but that's not usable. Lasse/Lasse

Every user has a iPhone 4 and a iPad 2, and both the devices are configured with Exchange ActiveSync. We have a "open calendar"-policy, so every secretary has access to create and delete items in all our users calendars. In this case a secretary creates an appointment in User A's calendar by selection the time periode in Outlook and typing the necessary text, afterwards she just copies the appointment to User B, C and D's calendar, just by dragging and dropping in to the other users calendar. My boss also has the problem. Yesterday we tried deleting my Activesync profile on my iPhone 4 with IOS 5.1 and setup my bosses Exchange account on my phone, and it was the exact same problem, the appointment that wasn't shown on her iPhone 4 IOS 4.3.5 also wasn't shown on my iPhone 4 with the latest IOS. I will take a look at the list from Microsoft regarding issues with Activesync./Lasse

The only common thing I can see, is that it might be the appointments made by others that are missing./Lasse

I can't use any of the solutions from Microsoft, since none of the problems looks like ours. Synchronization of mails and contacts works perfectly, it's only some appointments that aren't shown. As I wrote earlier, it looks it only happens on appointments that the secretary creates in User A's calendar, and then copies (By drag & drop) to User B and C's calendar. We have the issue on both IOS 4.3.5, 5.0.1 and 5.1. I have never seen the issue on my own iPhone 4 but our secretaries never create appointments directly in my calendar. Lasse/Lasse

I know this is an old post but wanted to see if you ever found a solution. I am running up to same issue with a client I am working with.

We were having problems with a few appointments not syncing - I've found 2 things that have helped: 1. make sure the user name and email account name are the same i.e. if the user name is their initials and their email account is first initial, last name - I always make a secondary email account in Exchange that matches their user name - this has helped greatly 2. if the secretary is entering the appointments they should invite the person to the event, not just put it on their calendar (they may not like this, but my testing found that when the secretary opens the users calendar on their PC and puts an appointment on it - it is more likely to have a syncing problem.) These 2 things have kept our Outlook calendars and iPhone calendars in sync.
