Not able to move PF replicas in Exchange 2k7
Hi all, I need to uninstall one of my exchange2k7 servers. I only have 2007 servers. When I try to use the movereplicas.ps1 shell, (.\moveallreplicas.ps1 -server exch-noeud -newserver exch-clus) I get an error Set-PublicFolder : not able to record \NON_IPM_SUBTREE\Events Root . be sure to have the right identity and to have all the necessary rights. (it's not exactly that, I'm translating a french error message!) I have the error for each non_ipm_subtree subfolders. I'm using an account with entreprise admin and exchange admin rights. Any one has an idea? Thanks!

Hi, I had similar problems with the management of Public Folders. My problem:ReplaceReplicaOnPFRecursive.ps1 -TopPublicFolder "'\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\Events Root'" -ServerToAdd aether -ServerToRemove w2k8 Set-PublicFolder : Cannot save the object '\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\Events Root'. Please make sure that you specified the correct Identity and that you have the necessary permissions to save it. At C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts\ReplaceReplicaOnPFRecursive.ps1:147 char:24 + $_ | set-publicfolder <<<< -server $_.OriginatingServer;[PS] C:\Windows\System32>To resolve this I started to search on Troubleshoot Public Folder and found this information from Microsoft: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc817865.aspx If the CN=Public Folders container is not present in the default location of CN=Folder Hierarchies,CN= Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=<Organization Name>,CN=MicrosoftExchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<rootdomain> and the parent container CN=Folder Hierarchies is also missing, use the steps below to create the CN=Folder Hierarchies under the CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) container. Right-click the CN= Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) container, point to New, and then click Object. From the Select a class list, click msExchPublicFolderTreeContainer, and then click Next. On the Attribute: cn page, in the Value box, enter Folder Hierarchies and then click Next. Click Finish to create the Folder Hierarchies object. Right-click the newly created CN=Folder Hierarchies object, then click New, and then Object. From the Select a class list, select msExchPFTree and then click Next. For the Value box, type Public Folders, and then click Next. Use the Exchange Management Console to dismount and then mount the public folder store. After moving the CN=Public Folders to it's default location using ADSI Edit (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773354.aspx) my "Public Folder Management Console" now display the correct information for the server I need to uninstall and the new server :DThis at least for me solvedthis part of the problem.Hope it will solve your problem to.
