The sender has AVG installed on their client machine.

I agree that Orignal Sender could have had AVG installed - so does this mean that the mail orignating from a box AVG installed will continue to add the message "No virus found in this outgoing message " even when the forwarder in another company is cleaned all the content? If the answer is YES - How does this work? Does it add any info in the header of the message? from where does it pick up the info " No virus found in this outgoing message" when all contents are deleted by the forwarder?regards

There is an option in AVG to add that information to each message. That can be unchecked. Their virus definitions are out of date as well!

Let me explain.. We have User A from XYX.COM (probably installed with AVG Software), he sent a mail to User B of ZZZ.COM in 2007. Yesterday User B forwarded the mail after clearing all the contents to User C & User D both from ZZZ.COM. The forwarded message contains the added message No virus found in this outgoing message. User B does not AVG installed then why is happening?

Have you verified thatthe actual message he forwarded doesnt have the AVG footer on it in the sent items folder?

Even if the Original Message did have the Footer - Customer clearly said that he deleted all contents - I only can believe him..regards

Hi Vikata, I would like to explain the process that the message processed by Exchange Server 2007 if the message is submitted by using Outlook (Exchange Profile): 1. When clients send a new mail, a MAPI message will be created in store, specifically to the Outbox of the users folder. 2. The Mail Submission service on Mailbox Server role receives a notification that a new message is available 3. The Mail Submission service picks a Hub Transport Server and informs it that a new message is available 4. The Hub Server retrieves the message and submits the message to Submission Queue 5. The Hub Server move the message from Outbox to the Sent Items folder Therefore, if the message has the AVG Footer in the Sent Items folder, it means that the AVG Footer already exists before the Hub Transport server process the message. If it is the case, I think that issue does not relate to Exchange Hub Server. At this time, would you please let me know? 1. Which Client UserB used to forward the message? Outlook (Exchange Mode)? 2. Whether all the messages from UserA XYX.COM have the problem? 3. If only the specific message has the problem, please let me know whether the issue can be reproduced if UserB forward the same message again. 4. If the issue can be reproduced, please help me gather following information: a. Original Message: Please have UserB logon his mailbox by using Outlook, create a new PST file and move the problem message to PST. Then, please zip the PST file and send to me for further check b. Please capture Pipeline Tracing when UserB forward the problem message to another user. Please send the Pipeline Tracing files to me.
