If I simply start a default outline by, for example, pressing I.<tab> and then type some text I get the first item of an outline as follows:

   I.   This is some text.

Then if I press Enter at the end of that text it automatically gives me the next item correctly numbered and indented on the next line as follows:

   I.   This is some text.
   II.  

This works for all the various pieces and levels of the outline, which is good.  However, I created my own outline style which works well except that now when I press Enter at the end of a line it merely places the cursor on the far left of the next line with no automatic continuation of indenting or numbering.  The automatic indenting/numbering does continue, however, if I copy and paste a previous correctly formatted line where I want the next entry to be.  What do I need to change to get the formatting to continue each time I press the Enter key?
