No Desktop Notifikation, only Sound.

Hello,

I use Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1 (x64). All Updates are installed.

When I get a new email Outlook only play a sound but I don't get an Desktop-Notification.

I already have disabled all notifications, restarted Outlook and enabled it again: No changes..
Started Outlook as an Admin: No changes...
Started Outlook in safemode: No changes

I use Exchange... My Notebook with an similar config and same mailbox works perfect.

Thanks for your Help

Hi,

I have some suggestions on this issue to make sure the Desktop Alert will display:

1. We all know the Desktop Alert setting in FILE -> Options -> Mail -> Message arrival -> Display a Desktop Alert. Make sure this checkbox is ticked.

2. For these emails which meet the conditions of a rule, make sure in the rule actions you have selected "display a Desktop Alert".

3. As you use Windows 8.1, please go to PC settings -> Search and apps -> Notifications -> Under "Show notifications from these apps", find Outlook 2013 and turn it on. To make the Desktop Alert display, we need to make sure both the notifications in Windows 8.1 Notifications and Outlook 2013 have been turned on.

I hope the information is helpful.

2. I disabled all rules and now it works

3. All notifications are enable by a Policy. I havent know about this policy??!!!

Thank you very much!. I checked the rules before but not enough. Without your suggestions I cant solve this.
