You should also instruct the HR people to put the DL into the "Bcc:" header. Then the only person that will get a reply is the one that sent the message. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I created one distribution group and did not add any user in it. i try with my to send email to the user in the "from i put my account " . i am able to send because i have admin rights in the domain. But when i try with the normal user send . In the from I put N0-reply and try to send he is getting error. I am getting this error. i am getting this error. Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: Muhammad Saleem You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Why are you putting anything into the "From:" header of the message? Your original question was how to restrict the use of a DL to only certain people. You do that by using the "Message Delivery Restictions" on the DL. If you're trying to "Send As" someone other than yourself you must have the "Send As" permission on that AD object. But that has nothing to do with restriction who can send to the group. FYI, using an administrator account for normal activities is a bad practice. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
