I'm not 100% sure but that's the only change I made that could have have triggered what happened.I downloaded the newest update about an hour ago July 8, 2008 10 pm or so and my internet wouldn't cooperate. I'm on a wireless router if that makes any difference. Had to do a system restore to get my internet back up. Any news on this? Anyone else have this problem?

The same thing happened to me, and it was one of the updates.I'm also using a wireless router, though I doubt that is the problem since (A.) the PC that I'm on is connected to that router via an ethernet cable and not via a wireless connection, and (B.) removing the router from the equation by connecting the PC back to the cable modem directly didn't help. Ya, I've just avoided the updates altogether. Hopefully they fix whatever it was they put out. Kind of shady about getting any updates now.
