I have stumbled on this site as I tried to find an answer to the following:-

I have just updated to Windows 10 and find that all my Word documents now open as "read only" which means I cannot change anything or resave it. It also stated I need "administrator approval". I tried opening my computer as the "administrator" and when trying to open files got a "Files empty" notice.

Nothing in FAQs answers this. Microsoft does not allow a user access to its' support to try to resolve a problem it has created.

What, in simple step by step terms, do I do now?
