Newbie questions about Exchange 2007
Hi,We want to move to Exchange 2007 from another groupware solution I was wondering if anybody could shed any light on some questions I have. Thanks for help with any of the below. If it makes any difference we'll be using Outlook XP as the initial client to Exchange.1) After importing contact records from our previous CRM, are their ways of preventing their deletion by users, while still allowing users to create new records?2) Is there a way to have one Contact record per company, and then have sub-contact e-mail addresses under this master record? And these subcontacts would then be available for new e-mails, etc?3) Is there a way to create more than one set of Contacts (like one set for one department A, then another set for department B) and then control which user(s) can see these contacts?4) For new Contacts, are we able to force validation of certain fields so users have to fill in the field or force them to follow a particular format when entering a new contact?5) Regarding keeping Mailbox store size down, is there a way to archive just the attachment, while leaving the rest of the e-mail untouched? So it remains searchable, but we don't care about the attachment. Thanks in advance for help with any question! We need accurate information before we plow down all the cash.David
