New users missing from the global address list only for one outlook 2007 user. Everyone else can see them.
2 weeks ago I created three new users and mailboxes for those users. Today one of my staff told me that they have never been able to send a message to these users as they don't show up in their global address list. We tried typing in the names and clicking on Check names just to see if that would pushit through but it didn't.I can see the new users within minutes of me creating them and everyone else has had no problem sending e-mail to them. It's only on this one user. They shows up in OWA just not on her local outlook. We use Office 2007 and Exchange 2007. I also found that when you click on 'To' and change the address list to 'All Users'they show up. Can anyone tell me how to get them to show up in my staff members Global address list?

its very similar to the earlier version of outlook. In Outlook 2003 and 2007, what is Cached Exchange Mode, and how do I enable or disable it? http://kb.iu.edu/data/amxk.html plus: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ork2003/HA011402591033.aspx(also read: Offline Address Book (OAB) considerations)

I am the Windows/Exchange/Network admin for a small company. Right now I am the sole user trialing Outlook 2007. I experienced this same problem myself when I recently added an AD user account for a new employee. I was running Outlook 07 in cached mode. The missing user appeared when I disabled cached mode. I found that if you disable cached mode and removed the .ost and .oab files from C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook the missing user will show up in your GAL list. With the .oab files gone, you should be able to re-enable cached mode if you desire.

This can be caused by a AV software running on the PC that somehow interfere and blocks outlook from writing new OAB files. make sure that the local AV on PC exclude OAB and OST files if you're running outlool in cached mode.
