New users created under AD are not getting authnticated by Exchange 2003
Hi, I got this problem with a exchange 2003 server and active directory. Few days back i had to create a new user on AD and i created the user and mailbox. User is able to login to domain and access other resources but the moment user opens outlook it asks for a password. No matter how many times you give type it keeps on coming. When i checked the server i realized AD is also installed (FSMO roles) the same (exchange) server. i tried updating the RUS but no success. Then i tried setting the configuration domain controller by right clicking the exchange server from server manager and it's also the same. Strange thing is existing users doesn't have this problem... what should i do now...

I strongly agree with Lasse you need to make sure that these people have been stamped with email address. if you dont see email address attached to these mailboxes then you need to check in the RUS configuration. or may be you need to restart SA once. Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

user is stamped with correct email address and i restarted the SA after verifying the correct GC from Exchange Manager.

Hi,1. Please try to use OWA to access mailbox.2. Please try to create the new user outlook profile on these nomalPC(has existing user profile)and then check the issue.3. Please try to patch the latest update for Outlook and then test the issue.Besides,do this issue occur to all the new-created user?Regards,Xiu
