New iPhone Exchange Support Question
Hello All, I've tried googling for this answer, but I think I'm lacking the correct verbage to get an accurate answer. Hopefully, someone can help. I am a domain user (not an administrator, but I do have administrative privledges.) I'm trying to get the new iPhone Exchange support going for a few people in the office. The user interface on the phones seems pretty intuitive, but I can't seem tomake it work. Our IT guy doesn't seem to come around anymore and he's not well versed in Exchange anyways. The iPhone asks for four bits of information: Email Server Username Password Of course, the email field seems pretty self explanatory. I used domain\username To determine the exchange server address, I opened up Outlook and saw that our exchange server is "domain1.domain.local." For the username, I used domain\username and for the password, I used my password. This didn't seem to work and I'm not surprised. Is there a way to find out our "external" exchange server? Thanks for any help! Ben

Yes, Generally, the OWA external URL should be the same as the ActiveSync external URL, so you can try it as the server name. here are my suggestion for your reference. 1. Server name should be the external URL. you can ask your exchange admin to give it to you. To check it, please run Power Shell cmdlet on Exchange Server: Get-Activesyncvirtualdirectory |fl *externalURL 2. If the ActiveSync virtual directory enabled SSL in IIS, you may need to install Certificate. Ask your exchange admin to export the server cert and copy it to Iphone for installing. 3. You may test if OMA can be accessed. -Jason
