New exchange server 2003 installation with live MX Record
Hi All I never deploy the fresh exchange server with live domain name and MX records.I installed and configure exchange server 2003 so many times in local network with active directory and local mx record with local dns.But not aware how to do this live.I recently register my domain name online and want to create MX records too in live dns for configuring new exchange server but dont know the process. Some online sites offer me some e-mail IDs with MX registration,is the number of accounts/e-mail that I will create in my Exchange server? or it is something different. Can any body guide me how to start with to finish the live exchange server installation. Thanks Vijay

1- you need public ip adress for the exchange or get it hosted on MX Logic. If it is for test then you can use your internet ip address as the public address but later you will run into issue by doing that. So what you need a legitmate public ip address for the mail server. 2- then goto your domain name control panel and create the MX record and point your mx record to this ip address. let say if your domain is 123.com then mx record ip address for this domain should be your internet ip address 3- setup the A entries for your domain, it can be the same ip address or any other.
