New Users cannot receive outside emails
Good Morning everyone. Ok I have a very basic setup, just one Exchange 2003 box on the back end and a spamfilter on the front. Now, what is happening is that any new user I create cannot receive any OUTSIDE emails. They receive internal just fine and can send out, they just cannot receive from outside. Here is the error Technical details of permanent failure:PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 13): 550 <Edited Out>: Recipient address rejected: No such user (Edited Out) Now the crazy thing is, that all of the users that have been created earlier than just recently are fine. So I am completely scratching my head. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance

Sounds like the spam filter is picking up a user list from active directory and said 'pickup' has failed. Probably an issue to take up with your spam filter vendor.

We have just got the same problem on a 2003 box running Exchange2003 and a spam filter. Definatly not the spam filter at fault, new users can't receive outside email. Will let you know when we have figured it out, or hopefully some one else on here will manage it first.

I found that it was the LDAP lookup on the spamfilter. I had to replicate the AD box and it worked fine. But you can either do that or turn off ldap on the spamfilter. Don;t know if that will fix you but that helped me. Thanks
