New Search Folders in Outlook 2013 create strange column selection

When I create a new Search Folder in Outlook 2013 the Columns created are just Size, In Folder , Categories. This means that for every new folder (and sometimes they revert having been edited) I have to edit the Columns under Advanced View Settings to provide some sensible order e.g. add Subject, Sent etc.

Have I done something to a setting somewhere for this to happen? Is there a way to get new folders to have the columns I dictate?

Hi,

Follow these steps to create search folder in Outlook 2013:-

1. To create a Search Folder, click Ctrl+Shift+P.

2. From the Select a Search Folder list, click Create a custom Search Folder.

3. Under Customize Search Folder, click Choose.

4. Type a name for your custom Search Folder.

5. Click Criteria, and then select the options that you want.

6. Select Messages/ More Choices/ Advanced tab.

7. Under Define more criteria, click Field, click the type of criterion that you want, and then click the specific criterion from the list. Then in the Condition box and Value box, click the options that you want, and then click Add to List. Repeat for each criterion that you want to add to this search folder, and then click OK.

8. Click Browse; select the folders that you want to be searched.

9. Click OK to close each open dialog box.

Hi Peter,

Please try the following steps and check if the problem will be fixed:

1. Click a search folder in your Outlook.

2. Click View tab > View Settings, and then click Reset Current View button.

3. Under View tab, click Change View drop-down list, and then click "Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders".

4. In the Apply View dialog, clear all check boxes and then select the check box before "Search Folders".

5. Click OK.

Now, try creating a new Search Folder and let me know the result.
