New Exchange 2007 running on Windows 2008
We are about to depoly our first Windows 2008 and Exchange 2007. Is there any special requirements we have to do in order to install Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008. We already order the Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1 media. We do already have five Exchange 2007 servers running in our environment so this is not the first one Exchange 2007we are implementing in our environment. Thanks in advanced, Eric Sabo

Thanks for the links they are very helpful. This server will have the Hub and mailbox roles on it. So I guess we are going to have to disable IPv6. I thought Exchange 2007 supported IPv6.

Opps... Let me explain KB952842bit more for you. By default, IPv6 is enabled in Windows 2008. If you want to disable IPv6 for any reasons then along with disabling in Local Area Connection, you have to use Registry Editor to completely disable IPv6 by adding a registry key DisabledComponents with value = 0xffffffff in Hexadecimal or 4294967295 in Decimal to disable all IPv6 components otherwise you will get the error mentioned in KB. Yes, IPv6 is supported in Exchange 2007 SP1 Reference: IPv6 Support in Exchange 2007 SP1 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb629624(EXCHG.80).aspx

I want IPv6 enabled, so I am guessing that Technet article does not apply to my situation. Thanks again you have been very helpful on this subject.
