New Email Domain
Hi, We currently have a single 2003 exchange server running. Our usual domain is working as it has been since we setup. We have bought a new domain name and pointed the mx record to come to us. The MX record points to the same IP as our usual domain which has smtp allowed through our firewall. In exchange, i have created a recipient policy for the domain, i've added it into the connector address space and added the email address into one of my users. Now when im testing it internally it works, which of course it should but externally i get a bounce back saying the following: Technical details of temporary failure: The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Did you add the new domain to the "Accepted Domains" in Exchange? If not, go to EMC > Organization Configuration > Hub Transport > Accepted Domains and add the new domain name to the list as "Authoritative Domain". Also please make sure that you don't have any other gateway between your Exchange server and Internet that could filter the accepted domain names. Hope it helps, br, Sorin

Hi,Please use Exchange remote connectivity analyzer to do an inbound email test, and it would give you the recommendation. https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/If the issue persists, please paste the result here. Thanks,Elvis
