New Address List Not populating
Hi, I recently created a new address list for "All Equipment" using the command: New-AddressList -name "All Equipment" -RecipientFilter {RecipientType -eq "UserMailbox" -and RecipientTypeDetails -eq "EquipmentMailbox"} For some reason, when I select the list in Outlook 2007 it does not populate with the 4 equipment mailboxes that exist. However, if I open the Address List via EMC and click "Preview", the results returned are correct. New mailboxes appear in the GAL with no issues. Any idea what the issue is here please? Thanks!

Hi, Please try to use Update-AddressList or Apply Address List wizard to apply the address list and try again. Update-AddressList http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997982.aspxFrank Wang

Hello, Apologies for the delay in getting back. The Update-AddressList cmdlet has successfully populated the address list. One more question - does this mean I will need to run Update-AddressList each time I create a new equipment mailbox? Many thanks for your help.

Creation of a new mailbox object should be automatically reflected in applicable address lists. Generally Update-AddressList is required when you change something like the LDAP query. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . And from Technet: "After you create an address list in the Shell, you must apply it. Use the Update-AddressList cmdlet or the Apply Address List wizard to apply the address list." http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125036.aspxFrank Wang
