Network card GUID does not exist - can it be removed from registry?
Hi we have had a few issues with our hyper v clustered environment and as a result have had to make some config changes one was to re apply some virtual network cards to. we are not getting some events saying No DNS servers could be retrieved from network adapter cc5dadd0-a14b-49ec-8e90-95338f4a73ca. Check if the computer is connected to a network and Get-NetworkConnectionInfo returns any results. when i have done get-networkconnection info it brings up information about the ip address the dns but the adapter GUID is different to the one in the event viewer. we think the GUID being referenced in the event viewr is stale from before we had the issues with the whole hyper v environment. is there a way the stale guid can be removed. we can see a number of entries in the registry for the the guid and was wandering if these can be deleted Thanks

This is an exch forum, you're better off posting in http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-GB/category/windowsserver or the Hyper-V section in the linkSukh

"Hi sorry the events are appearing on the exchange server on out cas box as a result it seems e mails are not being released and just stuck in a queue Thanks" Still, the underlying issue isn;t with exch, but has an effect on exch. You should open a post as mentioned above and then post back if the underlying issue is still causing exch issue.Sukh
