Nested Distribution Groups and Accept Messages From
Hello, I wanted to verify a permissions question about nested distribution groups. I have a nested Exchange 2007 distribution group named "School" that contains dgs for Teachers, Administrators and Staff. Joe Smith is allowed to send to "School" but is not listed on the Accept Messages From list under Staff. When he sends to "School" Teachers and Administrators will receive the message but not Staff. Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks!

Hi, As per my test, if you just admit the group school accept the message from Joe and did not change any settings at Message Delivery Restrictions of group staff. If Joe send a message to group school, the members of staff will also receive the message sent by Joe. If you wouldn't like to group staff receive any emails from Joe, you can set reject messages from Joe. The group staff will not receive any email from Joe, even though the email is sent to group school.
