or use srv records. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332063(EXCHG.80).aspx http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/09/21/447067.aspx autodiscover.mycompany.com should represent the SMTP addresses of your users - so if its user@mycompany.com, then yes set up a DNS record liek that in external DNS that points to a valid CAS. Yes, if not already set it has to be enabled on the internet facing CAS server: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998934(EXCHG.80).aspx /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

Have you ever considered OWA? Just deploy the Client Access Server.

No. just wonder if I users need to use Outlook with their home computers, just adding autodiscover.mycompany.com or SRV record is enough? Thank you.

You need a certificate, you need outlook anywhere to be enabled and then the SRV or autodiscover, and of course opened in the firewall so you can access the server. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

If you want users to use regular Outlook clients from outside your network (besides POP or IMAP), then you will need to enable Outlook Anywhere. These links should get you going: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123741.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd351177.aspx Test it here: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com
